RAZOR CLAMS

Razor clams are one of the great delicacies of  Washington’s Pacific Ocean Beaches. Readily available, the season for harvesting razor clams generally runs from  late September through late April and digging them is one of the great family activities that we have here. Here are some photo’s of razor clam digs as well as a book that goes into great detail regarding the harvesting, cleaning, and cooking of them.

With our miles and miles of open beaches there is always the opportunity to head to the beach and see what you can find.  The winters here provide for some pretty wild storms that tend to bring new treasures to the beaches.
